About the Course

Ready to take your improv skills to the next level? This advanced class is specifically designed to dive deeper into the exhilarating world of spontaneous theater, focusing on naive games and advanced improvisational scene work.

We're going beyond the basics to seriously boost your stage confidence and sharpen your public speaking skills, to continue exploring the many definitions of Improv

What You Will Learn

  • Quick Thinking & Wit: Each week focuses on a specific subject, utilizing advanced improv games to help you generate ideas faster and respond to scene partners with wit and clarity.

  • Teamwork On Stage: Learn the essential techniques for collaboration, truly listening, and building compelling scenes together as a cohesive team.

  • Long Form Structure: Explore the principles of long form improv—creating extended, connected scenes based on a single suggestion—for deep, satisfying comedic and narrative exploration.

  • Empowerment: Develop the ability to feel powerful and in control on stage, using your voice and creativity to command attention and entertain.

After weekly discussions about advanced improv techniques and rules, we will narrow down our favorite games and long-form exercises and perform a dynamic showcase of our work on the last day of class for friends and family!
