About the Course
Musical Theatre One is designed as an introduction to the world of live theatre for your littlest performers! Throughout the duration of this class we will learn about how to keep rhythm and tempo, learn our left from our right, how to listen and follow instructions through imaginative play, and how to practice good theatre etiquette both as a performer and as an audience member! Your children will learn 1-2 songs that will be performed at the end of our twelve week course alongside their instructor.
In this class student will practice:
Basic Motor skills (right from left, rhythm and tempo)
Good theater etiquette (audience and performer)
Structured Imaginative Play
Class will culminate with a final recital on March 21st at The Box at 5:00 pm (Call at 4:00 pm).

Your Instructor
Courtney Gates
An Albuquerque NM native, Courtney Gates' passion for performing began as a young child as she began studying and performing, becoming very active in local theatre, music, and dance programs. In 2017 she graduated with a degree in Musical Theatre from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York City where she lived and worked in film and theatre until 2020. Courtney is currently located in Albuquerque NM and is represented by Mitchell Talent. She is a lyric soprano/ mezzo soprano, with Training in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Musical Theatre. Courtney will be available for private vocal coaching
