Cardboard Playhouse Theatre Company is looking for actors and actresses between 12-18* for their upcoming productions of Disney's Moana Jr. Auditions will be held on Wednesday July 7th from 6:00-8:00 pm and Saturday July 10th from 2:00-4:00 pm at The Box Performance Space and Improv Theatre.


Auditionees will need to prepare a song to sing acapella. There will also be cold reading from the script and/or improv. 

Rehearsals are typically Monday through Thursday 6:00-8:00 pm and Saturdays from 2:00-4:00 pm. Rehearsals are scheduled to begin Tuesday, July 13th. Performances are scheduled August 27th-29th, 2021 at the National Hispanic Cultural Center. 


*PLEASE NOTE: We are asking that ALL actors be FULLY VACCINATED by July 28th. We will be asking for proof of vaccination at that rehearsal.

Moana JR. features all the beloved songs from the film, written by Tony®, GRAMMY, Emmy, and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foa’i, and Mark Mancina, including “How Far I’ll Go,” “Shiny,” and “You’re Welcome.”

This thrilling and heartwarming coming-of-age story follows the strong-willed Moana as she sets sail across the Pacific to save her village and discover the truth about her heritage. Moana and the legendary demigod Maui embark on an epic journey of self-discovery and camaraderie as both learn to harness the power that lies within. With empowering messages of bravery and selflessness, Moana JR. is sure to bring out the hero within each of us.
